Welcome to the Canberra Islamic Centre

Canberra Islamic Centre (CIC) is a community-driven organisation dedicated to informing about Islam and promoting the values of compassion, respect, and understanding.

CIC was established in 1993, with a vision to be an exemplary Australian Islamic institution that practices and upholds the values of Islam. Since its inception, CIC has become a hub for religious and cultural activities, offering a range of programs and services for Muslims and the wider community in the Australian Capital Territory.

The facility incorporates the Sabah Al Ahmad Mosque for daily prayers, a community hall for events and gatherings, classrooms for religious and educational programs and the most comprehensive Islamic library in the southern hemisphere.

Visitors are welcome for a Friday prayer, to learn about Islam or attend the regular events. For more information, please contact CIC.
