CIC Strategic Plan 2025-2030 (One Page PDF File)

The Canberra Islamic Centre Inc (CIC) is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to supporting the spiritual, educational, and social needs of Muslims in Canberra and the nearby region. Founded in 1993, CIC operates under a constitution and is led by an elected Executive Committee focused on strong governance and values. In June 2025, CIC held a Strategic Planning workshop with various stakeholders, resulting in the Strategic Plan for 2025–2030 aligned with its mission.

Governance: Oversight, Transparency & Accountability

Our governance framework ensures CIC remains responsive, ethical, and transparent in its operations:

  • Integrity & Inclusion: We uphold Islamic principles while fostering a respectful and welcoming environment for all.
  • Transparency & Accountability: We conduct annual reviews and community consultations to maintain openness about decisions and priorities.
  • Compliance & Oversight: The Executive Committee maintains formal mechanisms for financial and organisational accountability.

Strategy: Direction, Goals & Delivery

CIC’s Strategic Plan 2025–2030 outlines the organisation’s future direction, goals, and key focus areas:
