Australian Capital Territory Education Services (ACTIES) is the registered business name under the Canberra Islamic Centre and a key initiative of the Saba Al Ahmad Masjid and Education Centre.

ACTIES has collaborated with Islamic Council of NSW (ICNSW) and Australian Islamic Education Services (AIES) to utilise the Islamic Special Religious Education (ISRE) syllabus (K-6 and 7-12) and it forms the Islamic Studies program being delivered. Both ICNSW and AIES have many years’ experience teaching ISRE at NSW government schools under the Special Religious Education schools’ program.

ACTIES is the approved provider and following an initial one-year pilot in 2023 held in three ACT public schools, in 2024 the program has expanded. Alhamdulillah, the following are the participating schools:

Amaroo School, Neville Bonner Primary, Gungahlin College, Caroline Chisholm School, Melrose High School, Canberra College, Evelyn Scott School, Gold Creek School, Harrison School, Lyneham High, Telopea Park, Charles Conder Primary and Garran Primary.

ACTIES acknowledges the immense efforts of ICNSW and the AIES in managing the Islamic scripture ISRE program in NSW public schools which is delivered across 300 schools by over 700 volunteer teachers.
